G'day from Oz

I've just bought a Canon lide 35 scanner, but am dissatisfied with the
colour matching. Very red, and difficult to get right.

Is there any calibrating hardware I can buy that will help me get
accurate colours on my sons wedding photos?

Running a sp 1.8 MHz G5 and 23" Cinema Display (just a damn expensive
hobby)

If you're using Pshop you can also set up your working space to use a
monitor profile - commonly srgb as the monitor has only a small colour space
compared to others like LAB - and the image/mode menu will allow you to
assign a profile for an output device like a printer to an image on screen
so you can roughly see how the image will print. Is the colour problem with
the monitor display or the printer?

G'day Pete

The problem lay with the new Canon lide 35 scanner. The red was emphasized in an auto scan on the monitor and prints. My Epson photo 830 prints very close to my 23" Cinema Display colours. I've adjusted the scanner visually and just have to set the profile to a saved one on each boot up. Close enough.

Bruce, the hardware is beyond my reach for a hobby, and it looks like the cheaper options only calibrate the monitor, ah well

Thanks fellas

Santa
