Ok, so my system is a bit eccentric. I put a dual 800 cpu form a Quicksilver in a Digital Audio, which required a small additional power line to the motherboard. Works fine except the L3 cache needs software to get it running.
In os 9, Powerlogix cpu director 1.5 does the trick just fine. In 10.3.9, Sonnet Cache turns it right on. In Tiger, niether the Sonnet nor the newest version of CPU Director (fixes bug in 4.1) works. Neither company has much to say about hardware that they didn't make. Daystar makes a commercial product that does not support dual processors. Any ideas out there?
