Guess I'll answer my own question in case anyone else is interested, deselecting any and all items which you are given the option for results in slightly over 800 Mb of OS. Updating to 10.2.6 and adding a couple of extra apps still keeps it under 1 Gb. I should have a lean, mean, fileservin' machine when I'm done! 8^)
