Perhaps there is a hidden /boot partition at the beginning of the HD?

I missed this this first time 'round, and so, do dutifully
send Thanx for the 2nd. run by of the URL link. What are
the chances of your further researching on your HD to
hopefully findout exactly how the drive was "hidden",
where it is located and perhaps config'd(read only or
read/write, or?) , as this may play funny when 'Tools"
are added in, and any gained info on this may help us
others with our/their seemed 8Gb('til now) limitation??
I have also heard that sometimes OS X will install on a larger
partition, but problems appear when your Mac starts writing to the part
of the disk that is beyond the first 8G. IIRC, it can not see past the
first 8G.
Just quoting from my aging memory (remember folks, after 20 it is all
downhill- said from way past 20)
