Anyway, my G3/266 had 512 mb of ram and the stock hard drive in it and I ran OS X.2.6 on it without a hitch. I never had to use Xpostfacto as some have.I believe that with OS X and some of the older hardware the mileage as to what works and what doesn't varies from machine to machine. I do know that I liked OS X on the Beige G3 it ran really smooth. I moved on because I wanted to get peripherals to work and didn't want to go through the hassles of trying this on the Beige.
