Since no other input at this stage, I'm going to take one long-shot stab at it since you have a Sawtooth.

I have an AGP Sawtooth that I bought about 6 months ago. There is one little problem that I discovered that could be missed. In the far back bottom corner where the hinge is, the hard drive power wires can easily get caught in the hinge. When the side door closes, they get pushed downwards. One of my wires was already being cut through. Luckily it was the ground wire so no harm. Had it been power, who knows what would have fried. So check yours to make sure a similar thing isn't happening as it could surely explain why your problems occur with the door closed. Like I say 'a long shot' but worth a try. Dave


The computer only works with the case open. The temp in my room is in the
high 80s. I have 2 fans on the processor. When the case is closed, the
harddrive does not seem to get accessed.
