Yeah, I know 9.2.2 is as high as I can go with OS 9. As to

Yes, there is a way, however I've never put much thought or research
into it, so I will let someone else field this answer. I believe
there is a free program out there that will do the trick, or
shareware or something like that, but I don't remember the name off
hand.
Ummmm, I posted to the Powerbooks list about THIS one, rather than the
G-list. Yes, I'm still considering the 8.5 to 8.6 upgrade there and I
gotta say that the smashing success of my 9.2.2 upgrade on the G3 is
something of a motivation. However, I felt it would be smarter to
address
the concerns I still have to the Powerbooks list since my Powerbook is
hardly a G4 iBook hahaha. Yes I did download the Quicktime 4.1.2
update
too -- as was the case with 8.6, it was free. Can't beat that price
with
a stick. ;-) But, no more of that issue in here.
Yeah, I know, but the powerbook list goes to my AOL email, and it's
harder and more time consuming for me to post from an AOL address
than from the email. so I just posted here.
Yeah, but your processors are still faster. 400 MHz is faster than
266,
right? :-)

Excuses, excuses. :-P
