require special PCI cards. Try Adaptec. Stay away from
Promise. Then there's ACARD. They make the Sonnet
cards. The adaptec cards I found were for 50 pin SCSI.
The cards are bootable which means they need a boot ROM on them and
the code in it has to be different for Mac vs WH (WinHell). That's
just in the nature of the beast. Now why the Mac version is more
expensive and why the Mac version "needs" a bigger ROM (which means
you can't flash a PC version to Mac) is a question that should be
better left to the Justice Department.
