Rev 1: The start up IDE drive should be mounted to the back of the machine and connected to the LB directly from there. (don't know which P it is). There should be no other drives connected to it.

Other suggestions which you may have already tried:

Reset PRAM.
Buy a new PRAM battery.
Try booting from a CD.
Try a different video card.

Sscondly the Rage card may not be seated properly.
The back "wall" seems bent slightly so the Rage card (video care I guess) can be pressed in a little tighter. Though if I do this manually when booting
it doesn't make any difference.

Just want to make sure that this is toast and that there's no
change of a simple fix to get a boot.
