I have a serial port ZIP drive which works well and I'd like to use it with my G3 B &W and eMac which of course have USB & Firewire ports. Are there any adaptors which change the serial plug to one of the others?
Iomega never made a serial version of the Zip drive, there are Parallel Port, SCSI, USB and the dreaded Parallel/SCSI combo.
If you have the latter, just manually delete your data; it'll be less painful in the long run.
There are USB- Parallel converters, but they're only for printers; that model just will not work on a Mac.
If you have had it working on the Mac, it'll be a SCSI version and USB - SCSI adapters do exist. Orange Micro makes (made?) one as did Belkin.
But in truth, it's probably considerably cheaper to just pick up a USB Zip drive.
