How come you don't just burn your data to CDs? Can't you do this with
your iMac?
I could, but the sheer volume of it (~50GB) is prohibitive for a
solution like that, and even doing DVD backups it would take 10
discs every time I wanted a full backup.
Ya only need a full backup once a year. 10 * 50c is not that bad.
Another thought: Push files to a friend. I do that with a few
people. They've got accounts on my house server here. Whenever they
want, they ftp an archive of their latest data at me. I eventually
sweep it to CD-R or DVD-R.
