You're right. My guess is this is a pokey java app thing, as Bruce
suggests. Quartz should be zipping along on that AGP card. *shrug*
I just hope in the coming years Apple gets their act together. This
Intel switch may actually be a good thing.
IMO, Apple's software developers have their heads in the clouds.
They're into featuritis bloat (eg: Tiger and QuickTime). So the
switch will make little to no difference wrt improving software
performance *initially*. BUT when the Mactel systems ship, I think
there will be some serious comparitive benchmarks published: x GHz
Mac vs almost the same exact hardware PC. At that point, hopefully,
Apple will wake up...
