Howdy,
I need to help some friends set up a G4 Quicksilver (I think) they
recently bought. Their old machine is a 350 mHz G3 Yosemite running
under OS 9.2.1, and the G4 is 733 mHz running under OS 10.3.9.
I'd like to network them so they can exchange PhotoShop files (PS 6 on
the G3, PS CS on the G4), for use on the G4 and backup on the G3.
I haven't attempted to network a OSX machine to a OS 9.2.1 machine
before, so I could use some hand-holding.
There is currently a cat 5 reverse cable between the G3 and an older
beige machine used for backup. I figure I'll start by connecting it to
the G4 , but I don't know how to configure between the two systems.
Any and all help greatly appreciated.
