<Oh, your right I'm so sorry.
Does your monitor have a master reset button somewhere?
What is your monitor, Make and model?>

Hahaha -- okay. I turned it around "just enough" to read the backside (to
find the model number). It's a U.S. Logic (that much is on the front of
it), Model #DL-1564M, Cat. No. 32-10337.

As to a master reset button, quite frankly, I don't know -- I've never
had a single problem with this monitor (until it dropped dead or at least
went into a coma the night before last, anyway), and since its original
setup (mid 1990s)) I haven't touched it or had to. Now that I'm looking
at it in back, there's a switch on the back next to the power cord but I
think that's for the power. In front there are six little green LEDs (all
off, now). The one labeled Power used to be on all the time. Oh, wow,
wait a minute, I thought the Power labeled one was totally off (the
others are: I just checked them closely), but if I look up at it real
close, it's blinking, but it's very faint and I have to look really
closely at it to even see it at all. The others used to blink down the
line. In any case, these others have symbols above and beneath them, and
short of the one next to Power (which has a light bulb icon of sorts, so
I suppose that means brightness?) I don't know what they mean, though the
last one (furthest away from Power) says Recall beneath it, whatever that
means. Then there are four buttons with what looks like "greater than"
and "lesser than" signs on them -- you know, <, >. The second two of
these buttons, the greater than and lesser than symbols are up and down,
rather than across <like this>, and the fourth button has a left-pointing
arrow beneath it. I have no idea what it means though....

Why -- can you decipher any of this? Quite frankly, if there's just one
thing I can do to revive it even if only for a mere three to five
minutes, there's something I'd like to do real quick (copy ONE document
on a floppy so I can put it on the Powerbook), and then I'll shut my
complaining little mouth on this whole subject. LOL
