    I think you may need to reflash this on a pc in dos. Although the
firmware can be a two part flash - the parts being normal and kernel - a
firmware upgrade is usually a flash of the normal only so most firmware
upgrades including the rpc1 region free firmwares are one file only.
    If the DVRFlash for mac will perform a kernel and normal two part flash
you will need the kernel file which goes with the normal which you have.
>From Pioneer these upgrades are .exe applications for a pc so I don't know
how you would get hold of the matching kernel.
    If you can tell me the upgrade you have the normal for I can try and
find a kernel to match as I have a couple of pc's to sort the files...
