Thanks for the suggestions, especially Joe & Ken, for configuring the
F Keys. I've downloaded Keyquencer Lite (smaller file, easier for
dialup) and I'll see how that goes.
And yes Virginia there is/was a black keyboard made by Apple. Well,
all the 102 keys are black and it has a narrow rim of grey striped
translucent plastic. The effect is definitely black. Much the same
shape as the later white KB that came with my eMac. Didn't like that
KB at all: the touch was all wrong even on the replacement that Apple
sent me so I traded it for a Logitech wireless KB and mouse which I
love. Oddly the black KB seems to work better than the white one,
though I must say I don't much care for all that black. Chacun a son
gout I guess...
