If you are going to try this with osx max out the ram if it will go
1gig go for the high ram it will be slow, would be better probably to
run yellow dog on it.

now well established that OS9 machines don't serve OSX well; slow and
unstable connection, suddenly drops out.
Now we are offered a G3 300 with 320 Mb RAM, and I was thinking of
using this as a server. Will it run OSX OK? What about the different
revisions? As I understand it, the earlier ones came without onboard
FireWire. Does that mean they can't run OSX without XpostFacto? Don't
know yet what revision the offered Mac is
