I can atest to that. I had a 80GB seagate that died on
me early this May. Amazingly I had 2 weeks left on my
5-year warranty, sent it in, got it fixed and now it's
good again. It's a backup drive now though. Can't
trust it like I used to. My new 160 Seagate also has a
5-year warranty until 2010. I should have children by
then.
