It's PC100 that was working fine in the Beige. Where can I get a RAM
test utility?

Take a look in the G-List archives (link at bottom of this page) and
search for "DIMM saga."  This will give you RAM testing info from a
discussion a week or so ago.

I read that archive but didn't see any links for a RAM test utility. I did
find one online for OSX but not OS9.


RAMometer, which is part of the Gauge Pro group of programs can be downloaded here <http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macos/15583&vid=61005> It is freeware, and for OS 9. The DIMM saga discussion in the G-List archives will give you Jeff Walther's (August 5, 2005) excellent description of how to use the RAMometer program to thoroughly test your RAM.
