My Palm Pilot IIIxe has become less than usable because the only computer I have that Palm Desktop seems stable on is my old Wallstreet, which I don't use in my office. On my OS 9.1 Molar and on my OS X 10.3.9 B&W, Palm Desktop is now inoperable.

I am using Palm Desktop version 4.2.1 with a Palm IIIe with no problems. Just stay away from the "i-apps" and use the calendar, address book, etc. that are inside the Palm Desktop software with your Palm device. Keyspan makes a Windows Serial to USB adapter and a Mac twin-serial to USB adapter, both of which play nicely with OSX.

Do try to avoid syncing your Palm with a bunch of different computers. It confuses the software when it has to decide which change is the newest one.
