How come I have time to read and write posts? Because I am here on my 7300 working away and it is a nice (unstoppable) distraction at my fingertips. The G4 is slightly further away in another room on another floor and involves connecting a few power chords, taking up my optical mouse and disks and stuff! Soon... perhaps I should not jinx the situation but I think you and Bruce and others are likely right about checking boxes which I did not recall doing... and putting on drivers...
