I have bought an old Pismo Powerbook with Airport installed. I just formatted the hard drive and installed a clean copy of 10.3, then upgraded to 10.3.9. I have Airport Express, and the 'book is able to get on the internet with no problems. Thing is, I can't see any of my network, nor can I change any of the configuration settings on the Base station. Every time I reset the station, I try to enter a new password, and it tells me there was an error. When I reset the Base to factory settings, it seems to have a password but I never set one, and I have no idea what the default password is.
The hardware is arranged so that I go from the cable outlet to my cable modem, to my router, to the Express Station. The big question I have is, how do I access my wired network from the 'book? I'm going to call Apple tonight, but would love any advice. All the computers on the network are connected to the Router, and all are running 10.3.9. All the wired computers can see each other and share files. I have tried to set up the notebook in the same fashion, ie: sharing enabled, Appletalk activated, etc. But when I click on Network, nothing comes up (aside form the Local).
