You can use any OS9 program under OSX.

Not all Mac OS programs run under Classic emulation mode. Programs that call for hardware that isn't supported in OS X won't run, so Yersinia's Apple Personal LaserWriter 300 won't function in OS X even with Classic running. It would need to be booted in Mac OS to print. Programs like Drive Setup that use different Mac OS hardware controller software don't work in Classic. This applies to all hardware, so if you had a video card with a special input capture port or TV tuner it's capture or TV software most likely won't run in Classic, although perhaps there is an OS X replacement in rare circumstances. So many old peripherals lack OS X drivers and can't function in Classic that it's a tough decision on what to do if you have a lot of legacy hardware.

X is cool!

If you do some digging, there are a couple Mac OS "OS X Aqua Appearance Themes" for either the Apple Appearance Control Panel or Kaleidoscope. There's also X-Launch Dock for Mac OS, so you can fake OS X on your Mac OS, have all your old hardware work, and still be cool!

Chill, Kris
