Recently, it started doing strange things. Like when i use my
trackpad to put the pointer on a link, whatever it rolls over
opens! If I am in IM and move my pointer out of the way, then that
thing opens (ie: the desktop). This happens in the dock, too.
Also, I can be typing a sentence and suddenly the curser moves
backward into a part of the sentence I already typed (hope that
makes sense) and i will be typing in the middle of a previous word
or part of the sentence. Or I do intentionally click on something
and the window opens and disappears behind something else.
I don't recall changing anything. I have checked the prefs and all
seems fine. Maybe I missed something? At any rate, this is driving
me nuts!!! Can anybody help?

If this happens with the track pad, but not the mouse, I suspect you
have a problem with the track pad itself, possibly it thinks that
the "mouse button" is pressed, even when it seems no to be.
Maybe you turned tap-clicking on inadvertently and tend to hit it
while typing?
That may have been it! I don't see that happening, at least at the
moment.
