What version of PDF writer?
Adobe 7.0 Professional.
But, Bruce, as I say it also happens with the Epson Printer.
Does this happen with OS X's built-in PDF creation?
I'm not sure how to access this "built-in" function.
Select print. In the print dialog there's a button PDF, clicking it
reveals several options. You don't really need Acrobat unless you
want to create fillable forms or fine tune the compression of images
in your pdf's.
But, I interestingly enough, when I tryied to convert a Word doc
to pdf using the Adope button ("convert to pdf" or "convert to pdf
& e-mail")
I'm given a dialog box telling me that Word cannot find the Adobe
printer and
suggesting that I install it.
This is an Adobe issue, I think. I hate doing it, but I suggest
taking a some time trying to pry an answer out of Adobe's online
support.
Those buttons depend on macros being installed properly in Word, and
Adobe's st uff being properly installed. Also make sure you have the
latest updates to Acrobat.
