Looking at the breakdown page: http://www.technology.niagarac.on.ca/staff/bgracey/prokeyboardrepair.html ...this is not a keyboard that is designed to be repaired, only replaced. As far as Apple keyboards being overpriced, what did they want to charge you for a brand new one? Frankly, looking at that page, I kept looking for components that would help to justify the "Pro" designation and I just didn't see any. The guts of the 'board seem to be exactly the same as a typical throwaway PC keyboard.
