I¹ve got a g4 giga ethernet, running 10.3.9 and using a Q-dock to convert my
ADB apple adjustable keyboard to the USB. Worked just fine. The keyboard
just died, time to replace it.

Never used a Dr. Bott (is this a KVM switch) but see no reason why it
wouldn¹t work through a switch. If it¹s a KMV it just makes a straight
through connection from the input device to the output connector.

Don¹t thing it would hurt to try anyway.
