What kind of power adaptor?  I looked up the price on new 24v and 28v
wall warts, theyre like $90.  But if you can find that 28v (actually 24v
will do the trick) then please share with me how you did it.  Anyway,

IF you don't like that ebay for a new apple supply.. I ended up doing that
after I fried my walwart..

This file has a circuit to get 28V out of 5V: <http://www.io.com/~trag/28v_vreg.pdf> No wall wart required.

I have not tried this circuit. A friend emailed me the file a while back. I also am not sure which machine the wiring dia gram is for, but the 28V converter should be applicable for whichever machine.
