It never ceases to amaze me how great the mac community is.
I have spent half the night e-mailing back and forth with the author of
ffmpegx to get assistance in properly encoding movies from my Minolta
Dimage Z2 so I could put them on DVD.
Registering ffmpegx a year or so ago was completely worth the few bucks.
It's great software for anyone who wants to make dvds but doesn't want
to or can't use iDVD.
Another great piece of shareware that I use on my mac at work is Adock.
We can't run OS X because of network incompatibility with the OS 9
machines and Adock provides at least the functionality of the X dock,
plus some extra features.
I would recommend these to anybody. Not trying to be a paid
advertisement, but I'm just so impressed with the author of ffmpegx, I
had to say something.
