I'd go with either Kinsgton or Crucial, though I'm sure others can recommend
additional venders for possibly less, Kingston and Crucial have lifetime
warranties and have always been top-quality.

Yes, a 1GB module is the largest that the 12" can take, primarily because
that is the largest available in the SoDimm format.

Subject: [G] PowerBook 12" RAM question

Hello,

I was planning on upgrading the RAM in my new 12"
powerbook (Al) and I was wondering about a few things:

a) Is it worth the extra money to go with apple brand
RAM or can I go with a cheaper 3rd party manufacturer?

b) If it is a better choice to go with the cheaper 3rd
party vendor, which manufacturers have reliable chips?

c) Lastly, is it true that the 12" can only handle at
most 1 gig of additional memory?

Thanks so much for the help,
Anil
