I've moved lots of hard drives, SCSI and IDE back and forth between lots of
Macs, internal and external enclosures, built-in and attached to cards, (I
just can't resist buying them and messing them around), using OS
7.1,8.0,8.1,8.5,8.6,9.04 (believe it or not) and 9.1 and 9.2. I have NEVER
had a problem with the drives, but I have had problems. It has ALWAYS been
some mismatch of OS and/or driver and/or Mac Model etc that I forgot (or was
to impatient) to check out. I'm sure one day I'll hit a Hard Drive problem,
but I'd look elsewhere first to solve this.
