Anybody out there have good results with this software? I'm in the midst of trying to make a mini use a Samsung hdtv as a display, and I'm not having much luck. The Samsung has a dvi connector on the back, so I figure I'm in good shape there. I can get a very grainy looking desktop with almost illegible text at several resolutions with millions of colors, and some applications, like DVD player and Quicktime, are quite clear.
what model of HDTV is it? The manual should say what resolution it handles. If those resolutions aren't listed in the Monitors control panels, then you'll need Switchres. Your problems may be associated with the recent upgrade to 10.4.3, which has broken some apps.
But there's HDTV and there's HDTV, some monitors only support like 1024 x 768 as a computer screen. If it's a large screen, yep, that's going to look like crap, moreover, given the aspect ration, it's going to be squished crap.
