In OS 9, the memory slots are itemized in Apple System Profiler but in Jaguar 10.2.8, there's no memory info whatsoever--only in "About This Mac", and not itemized. Why is that? Do Panther and Tiger have detailed memory info somewhere?

Clark Martin kindly responded:

I just looked in System Profiler on a 10.2.8 system and all 4 slots (3 filled) were displayed. And yes, Panther also details the physical memory.

That's strange. Maybe only in models newer than my ancient beige G3 will the info show up? I assume you've got at least a G4 ;)

In my beige running 10.2.8 it does not show slot info, so I am guessing it is a New/Old World distinction. Anyone running 10.2.8 on a B&W or a sawtooth or yikes care to weigh in with their observation?

FWIW, in 10.3.9 on a Digital Audio it shows slot (including the phantom 4th slot), size. type (SDRAM-can we use anything else?) and speed (pc133-333 in mine).
