oops.  yer right.  It is a 32-bit card.

But it still doesn't fit in the short connector of the 66-MHz slot.

Yup, I'm sure.  Most, if not all, 64-bit PCI cards will work in a 32-bit
slot, but in this case, the card is 32-bit.

The card I have physically does not fit in the 66-MHz slot.

The edge connector is just too long for the slot.

It fits in, and keys to, the long slot.
