I have 2 years experience with 1and1, and no problems. Some of their online tools don't work with safari, but Firefox handles those.

1and1.com SEEMS to have a decent service package for $2.99 month. Also, the included website tools appear to be able to do what I need. They also seem to have some financial backing (2 page adds in Wired are not cheap) and I do not want to be changing hosting companies every year.
