Hi Dan;
The potiential problem that I se looming is:
The printer is an Ink Jet, right?
Most likely 'water soluble' ink, right?
Printing on a clear plastic surface.
I can just see it getting damp someplace in transit, the address
smearing, and your 'greeting' ending up in the 'dead letter office'.
I am a firm adherent (believer in) "Murphy's Law".

We've got some clear Avery address labels. What settings should
be used to print on them with an Epson inkjet printer?
We have the alignment right. But the text comes out very
blurry/smeared...
Well, sorta, but all the plastic things that I've bought
(transparencies etc) that were for inkjets, are rough intexture, to
help the ink to hang on.
Interesting. That makes sense tho, the label surface being
impermeable plastic...
I'd expect that if the ink were running and smearing, that the labels
aren't for inkjet use but instead ofr laser use.
I assume you're using Epson software on a OS9 Mac that will let you
adjust the paper type etc- and thus the ink flow- which as far as
I've read, the Epson drivers for X will not let you do...
Printing w/ AW 6 on Panther.
We got one to print ok. Turned out Karen had done the print normally,
from AppleWorks, but was using Preview to try to override the paper
setting -- which didn't work. Printing directly from AppleWorks gave
sharp results, but then we had suddenly margin problems. At $1/page,
our solution was to punt. We waited until after the Xmas cards were
done printing on our crayon pooper, then printed the labels there too.
The alignment problem vanished with no settings changes.
Well, so much for that. Next! :)
- Dan.
