Thanks for all the help from everyone, I guess maclaunch just didn't
like my name. I got myself a new email account, and that finally did
the trick after several months of not being able to post.
I guess now all I have to do is find some way of getting my other
email off the lists, since maclaunch won't even let me do that,

Check the setting in Mail prefs regarding message composition.
Uncheck anything that wil generate HTML or rich text email.
There can be message headers indicating HTML content could be
present, even if none is in the email text, and that will generate
a bounce.
Seems insane, but have him set up another free gmail account
without "rule" in the email address. The antispam/bounce
dictionary that is used by this list software is, politely put, a
little strange.
I don't know if this has been suggested earlier, my vote goes to
the message composition prefs.
