Do I have to get an airport card for a g4 sawtooth or can I get a

No, you don't have to get an Apple Airport.
There are a few third party cards out there with Mac OS 10 native
drivers.
Or, you can use just about any PCI card that uses a Broadcom chip. That
route will give you wireless without having to add in any more software.
I picked up a Buffalo PCI card that was on sale, dropped it in the system
and the Apple Airport software detected it and started working with it
just like it was an Airport Extreme card.
Justin,
Will you please tell us the model details, I'd like to get one too
for use in Oz.
IIRC, I picked up a WLI2-PCI-G54, which can be found here:
http://www.buffalotech.com/products/product-detail.php?productid=48&categoryid=7
I have seen others say they used Belkins as well, I'd check the archives.
Now, if I could find it, there was a page that listed a lot of WiFi cards,
the chipset used, and what drivers are used, if any, under OS 10...
*googles a bit*
And I just found it.

Notice, all the cards listed as supported by the Airport software use
Broadcom chips, which is the same chip Apple uses in their Airport Extreme
cards.
Enjoy!
Thanks,
I tried a Belkin F5D7000au with Belkin's Mac drivers - no go - no
longer a Broadcom chip :(
Cheers
James
