I have a Digital Audio upgraded with a GigaDesigns 2 GHz G4 and plenty of RAM running OS 10.4.3. For some reason I seem to be unable to boot into OS 9. Is there something I'm missing (or have forgotten) that is preventing this? OS X and Classic are installed on their own HDD. I had a separate 30GB HDD with OS 9.2.2 on it that would show up in the Startup Disk system pref, but the startup would stall when I tried booting from it. Thinking something was corrupted on the OS 9 HDD, I erased it in preparation for a reinstall. That's when I discovered that I couldn't even get the computer to boot from any of several OS 9 install CD's, including a machine-specific one. It also will not boot into Classic. Each time the startup process stalls early on at a blank grey screen without even searching for a system folder. Anybody got ideas on what else I should try? Thanks. John Hixson
