Listers,
I hope this is the best list for this question. (I don' t know
of any list for printers only). I have a LaserWriter 8500 that I have gotten
to print just fine. It has three card slots on the logic board. One is a ram
slot, and I have maxed it out and the test page reflects the change. The
other two slots are marked ROM. They were empty when I got the machine, but
I found another 8500 that had cards in its ROM slots and I put them into my
functioning machine. I can't tell that it changed anything. So . . .what's
the deal on the ROM slots and the cards. The printer ran just fine before I
put the cards in and seems to run the same now. What's the deal? (I've just
about beaten down my two very helpful sources {thanks Dale and David} and
thought I'd throw this one out to a broader readership. (first off, let me
know if there is a more appropriate list). TIA
