Panther has the app Font Book to look after that little job though it
struggles rather laboriously if you have a lot of fonts installed - I
currently have 583 - Font Book reports. If that is the situation Suitcase or
FontReserve are better but cost money. Some apps - Excel springs to mind -
will take a long time to launch with lots of fonts installed so it's worth
taking control. Apple apps like Textedit can open a font panel window with
the show fonts command.
