I have the PCD-15 model scsi card reader and I use to use it with OS9
with no drivers to access the type 3 disks from my Kodak DCS cameras - the
type 2 or type 3 PCMCIA HD should mount on the desktop without any drivers
though I admit it's a long time since I used it - and I didn't use it much
as I also have an internal 3.5" type 2/3 PCMCIA reader in a Pentium 2 tower
which I used to reformat the disks if they were problematic. As they often
were with the DCS cameras. The Kodak camera access and formatting software
in the form of Pshop plugins was not very robust so disk problems were quite
frequent.
Both are still in working condition and I do have an old black 5400/180
running OS9 should you require confirmation - have you tried just plugging
it in and inserting a PCMCIA card?
