<<Al is probably right, though I have had no trouble with them (compared to my QS software troubles messing up the ATA HD), they are great for temporary use.

Just wanted to put in a good word for these poor things.

BTW, I think there are USB zip drives, and actual zips in any collection will then be useable... they would be very cheap indeed these days, probably cheaper than a suitable scsi card or (in my peculiar case, a cable)

Thanks, David. I like them, too. I have an internal Zip bay, but the 250 is too large to fit into it as it's mounted on a platform & the platform is too big to fit into the Zip drive opening. I can't find an internal 100 zip drive, which is what size the bay will take. It is right below the CD drive. Maybe if I go on the Low End Mac Swap List, someone will have one. I do wish I could install the 250 (they even have a 750 now) as they will play all the smaller size Zip disks as well. My stuff is all on 100s.
