There has been discussion in the past about how to install OS X on a
beige G3. At the time it wasn't an issue for me, but now is. Can
anyone detail what I need to do to get X to work on a beige G3? It
only has a 6 gig HD. Do I need a larger one?
Jaguar, 10.2.8, natively supports the beige G3s. To put in Panther or
Tiger (10.3 or 10.4) you need to use xpostfacto at:

6G HD is doable for X, but kind of small, I would recommend a larger HD
and a minimum of 512 meg ram. Remember, if you get a larger HD, it
needs to be partitioned with the first partition being just under 8G
and that is where you need to install X on a beige.
