Dear Stephen,

If I may make a suggestion, there are many other ways to express your disagreement with Hirschfeld than to call his book "misleading".  You could say it contains mistakes, that you disagree with its conclusions, etc.  To characterize the book as misleading imputes personal negative motives to Hirschfeld, which I hope is not what you intended to do. 

I haven't yet read Hirschfeld's book (and have found much to both agree and disagree with his articles), so this does not in any way represent an endorsement of his conclusions.
