Howdy,
I recently received a 400 MHz G4 to upgrade my B&W. I just want to
install Tiger. I seem to remember something about the B&W not booting
with a G4 installed, without a special driver. My G4 is an Apple brand
one, if that makes a difference. This is a new B&W to me and I'll be
installing the OS from scratch. I am trying to decide a good order to
do things. I am still looking for a video card. I don't even want to
try with the original ATI Rage card. I am watching for a cheap Radeon
on ebay. Do these steps seem like the right order? Is there anything
important missing?
  Install G4
Add 512 meg ram (giving 768 meg total)
  Replace video card
  Replace CD drive with superdrive
  Install Hard drive
  Install Tiger
  Install OS updates
Thank you,
Ralph
