I used the OS 9.2.1 cd to format and to do the install.  Everything
proceeded normally during the install.  But no start from the hd.

BTW Dan, to install OSX, the 1st partition has to be less than 8GB.

And the machine is a beige g3, 266 mhz processor, 768mb ram.
