What do the startup signals tell you? Screen color etc? Loose RAM? Have you changed any hardware lately? Does it act like this when booted from optical disk? Is it possible the drive got corrupted/ overwritten by two different file systems in any way? Any hard drive noises? Loose or damaged HD cabling. Dirty connections? Everything seated properly? Can you try another HD? I would be thinking the drive is nearing the end. But maybe it is something else? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed Low End Mac's G3-5 List, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
