My interpretation of the CCC 3.1.2 documentation (in other posts, I
use to call it 3.4.2 ...sorry), is that Repair Permissions was no
longer considered a part of the cloning process, so Bombich did not
continue to do this within CCC.
Its the OS X that puts the check mark on Ignore Ownership ... on
Tiger and Leopard disk partitions, do Get Info and look for the
Ignore ownership on this volume in the window. Under bothe Tiger and
Leopard, it appears on non-booted upon partitions.
If that is checked when you try to CCC that partition, Ownership and
Permissions are ignored and the resulting clone is not boot-able (if
its supposed to be to begin with).
