I have successfully burned boot CDs from Toast 6 and Toast 7 (currently at
7.1.4) in OS X (10.3, 10.4, 10.5) though I have noticed that, in Toast 6,
Copying any System CD seemed to always yield a "can not mount.." error
message - I would click "OK" then go about my business (copying the CD)
without a hitch.

Here, here! Agreed! Toast is certainly an improvement when this is done.
